Plateforme de Vectorologie de Montpellier (PVM)
Lentivectors and AAV Core Facility

The Plateforme de Vectorologie de Montpellier (PVM) is affiliated to BioCampus Montpellier and is dedicated to the production of recombinant viral particles for any requesting laboratory. Viral vectors enable the efficient, reproducible and targeted expression of genes in different cell types. The IGF Core Facility of the Montpellier Vectorology Platform specializes in the production of recombinant Lentiviruses, Retroviruses and AAVs.
Our team is here to help you with your projects involving the use of viral vectors for gene transfer and genome editing. They can be used, for example, for:
• marking cell cohorts, studying lineages or neuronal networks
• studying cell activity (neurons, cardiac cells, β-pancreatic cells, etc.)
• gain/loss-of-function approaches to understand gene functions
• immortalization, transformation and tumor induction
• vaccines
• gene therapy…
The properties of these viral particles differ according to the nature of the virus from which they are derived. The choice of particle type will depend on the research project issues.
Services
The technical platform at IGF specializes in the production of Lentiviruses derived from HIV-1, murine Retroviruses and AAVs (Adeno-Associated Viruses) of various serotypes.
