On November22, the Bettencourt-Schueller Foundation revealed the first prize list of Impulscience®, its new support program for researchers in Life Sciences. Aimed at the great talents of Life Sciences research in France, Impulscience® intends to reinforce the attractiveness of french research in this field.

Amaury François, a CNRS research fellow in the team led by Emmanuel Bourinet, is one of the 7 laureates awarded this year. The grant accompanying this programme (€2.3 million) will allow Amaury to pursue his research project focused on deciphering the neural circuits that link touch to emotions. This research, of major interest in human health, is crucial for understanding the deregulations of sensory processing observed in pathologies such as chronic pain, anhedonia or the loss of interest in pleasant stimuli. Amaury’s work aims to reverse these pathologies and develop therapeutic avenues.

Congralutations Amaury!
